City Pics: Portland

As the first destination of our round trip along the US West Coast, I just visited Americas “Bicycle Capital” Portland. Of course, I had to ride a bike along its vast network of bike lanes to experience why the city really deserves this title.

Moreover, walkable streets, its new streetcar network and a stunning aerial tram make Portland a truly multimodal city. Arriving by bus and leaving by train, I enjoyed combining all these means of sustainable transportation. Finally, I hope that my pictures also give a good impression on how people enjoyed their city and its public places on such a nice weekend:
